Community Sail Membership Membership fees for Community Sail Members are $120 per year. You should select this membership type if you do not have a Sail Georgina allocated slip, but do wish to use the clubs' dinghies for racing or community sailing. Community Sail Membership includes: Access to the club's dinghies when they are not required by the sailing school. Note: any damage caused to the club dinghy or equipment is not covered by this fee, and the member is responsible for repairing or replacing the damaged equipment Social Activities Voting rights at the SGA general meetings The right to hold a space on the SGA slip waiting list Racing Program (excluding PHRF fees)

No Membership for 2010 You should select this option if you do not want to register for any Sail Georgina membership type in 2010. This would only be required if you registered in previous years, and want to indicate that you do not plan to renew your membership in 2010. Please note the following details, if you are not a member: You will not be able to hold a space on the slip waiting list. If you wish to rejoin the slip waiting list in later years, you will be placed at the bottom of the waiting list. You will not be able to hold a previous slip as a "slip sabbatical". If you will want a slip in any later years, you will need to join the slip waiting list (at the bottom). You will not have any voting rights at the SGA general meetings You will not be able to use the club dinghies for racing, or general use.

Slip Sabbatical

Sail Georgina Senior Members, who held a Sail Georgina slip last year, may request a one year slip sabbatical. The slip sabbatical allows the member to not use their slip for a maximum of one year, but retain rights to the slip for the following year. New: You can only take a slip sabbatical for one year out of five. Your Senior Membership fees ($120) are still due for the year you take the sabbatical, and must be paid by March 1st, if you wish to retain access to your slip for the following year.

Member's boats and Personal Safety

From time to time, a boat may need attention while moored or otherwise stored in the harbour area. As a condition of membership in Sail Georgina, you must consent to allowing an executive member or authorized person to move or tend to your boat, as required (for example, if the boat is adrift, improperly moored, or otherwise in need of attention).

Your Authorization

This authorization will permit Sail Georgina, the executive, or any authorized person to board, move, remove from the harbour, or take any other action deemed necessary to correct a situation that may cause, or seem to be a threat to property, or a person's safety or well being.

Should the boat need to be moved for harbour maintenance or construction, the harbour master or any person authorized by the Sail Georgina executive may relocate the boat to another part of the harbour.

No boats are to be placed in the harbour unless authorized, with all fees paid in full. The boat must be placed in the slip allocated to you, and it must be removed from the harbour before October 31st. Should a boat be placed in the harbour in violation of any part of these guidelines, the boat may be removed from the harbour area at the direction of the Sail Georgina executive, and the member will be responsible for all associated costs.

I understand and agree that if it is deemed necessary to move or remove a boat from the harbour, the Sail Georgina Association, the Sail Georgina Executive, and any other persons authorized to act on their behalf cannot be held responsible for any damage that is caused as a result of their actions.
